The Fifth "Strong Ideas for a New Era" forum convened over 1,500 participants

The V Forum "Strong Ideas for a New Era," held on July 2-3, 2025, at the "Russia" National Center in Moscow, has concluded its work. The event, organized by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and the Roscongress Foundation in collaboration with VEB.RF, gathered over 1,500 participants.

A pivotal moment of the Forum was the plenary session attended by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. He emphasized that the Forum's high public mission is to facilitate the realization of talents and the immense creative potential of Russian citizens.

"We have succeeded in establishing a unique platform, a unique mechanism for the development of individual industries, production, and the economy as a whole, and thus of all of Russia, in recent years. I would like to note that thousands of the best ideas receive concrete support annually. Their teams and leaders are provided with educational and methodological assistance necessary for further development, and 100 of the most significant initiatives are forwarded to the Government, ministries, departments, and regions of the Russian Federation for their utilization in formulating systemic solutions," stated the President.

The most outstanding ideas were presented to the President of the Russian Federation during the Forum's plenary session. The project leaders included researchers, employees from the agricultural and ecological non-profit sectors, as well as those from the cultural and creative spheres.

The proposed solutions addressed water consumption control and the planting of forest belts; the creation of an innovative natural resource management system using drones, artificial intelligence, and cloud technologies; the development of modular robots capable of navigating within pipelines; and the implementation and promotion of a network of inclusive cinema clubs.

This year, the Forum received over 35,000 ideas across five areas of ASI's activities: social, entrepreneurial, human resources, technological, and environmental and climate national initiatives. The social direction once again proved to be the most popular, accounting for nearly half of the total ideas submitted.

"We will present the 100 most important ideas to the Government of the Russian Federation to work with the relevant departments. We will select the most significant initiatives that are ready as business plans for our VEB.RF development group (SMEs, REC, and other organizations), and we will consider the most crucial initiatives that can be promoted within the framework of the Eastern Forum," underscored Igor Shuvalov, Chairman of VEB.RF.

The business program of the first day featured discussion sessions and presentations of initiatives. Participants included not only leaders of 2025 ideas but also those from previous years who had already successfully showcased their projects. During these sessions, they exchanged practices and developed new approaches to implementing significant public projects.

In total, over 1,500 individuals from 10 countries participated: Germany, India, Kazakhstan, UAE, Republic of Cyprus, Russia, USA, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Switzerland. Among the participants were approximately 800 representatives of Russian and foreign businesses from over 600 organizations, as well as governors and heads of republics. Furthermore, online broadcasts garnered over 2.5 million viewers.

Within the framework of the Forum, experts selected 300 most promising projects from the first thousand approved initiatives, followed by the top 100. These constituted the second and third stages of the Forum's finalist selection. Information about these and other projects can be found on the crowd-platform website idea.roscongress.ru, by using the filters "top-1000," "300," and "100" within each selected category.
