 Wheat sowing in Turkmenistan starts on September 3

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Tangryguly Atakhalliyev reported on the results of the activities of the supervised complex for eight months of 2025, as well as on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov blessed the start of wheat sowing in all velayats of the country on September 3.

Addressing members of the government, the head of state noted that this is an important and responsible time for grain farmers, and emphasized the need for organized sowing within agrotechnical timeframes. According to the established good tradition, the start of grain sowing will be given by respected elders.

Results of 8 months

In the agricultural sector as a whole, the growth rate of production compared to the same period of the last year was 110.4%. Here are the indicators recorded in the following industries:

• State Water Management Committee: +33.4%

• State Concern "Türkmenpagta": +19.5%

• State Association of Food Industry: +7.8%

• State Association "Türkmengallaönümleri": +3.8%

• State Association "Türkmen atlary": +2.5%

• Ministry of Agriculture: +2.4%

• State Association "Türkmenobahyzmat": +1.1%

• Ministry of Environmental Protection: +0.9%

• State Association of Livestock and Poultry Industry: +0.8%

It was also reported that the investment development plan was fulfilled at 245.3%.

The Deputy Prime Minister reported on the preparations for the cotton harvest, including cotton gins, collection points and transport equipment. Active preparations are also underway for the upcoming wheat sowing.

Having heard the report, the President instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to continue effective work on the comprehensive development of the industry, aimed at increasing the volume of high-quality agricultural products and ensuring food abundance. The head of state wished the hard-working grain growers and all rural workers great success in their upcoming work.
