At the "International Trade and Services" exhibition and fair, and the international conference "Ensuring Quality in Accordance with International Standards in Turkmenistan," recently held in Ashgabat, a key topic of discussion was the rapid development of e-commerce and innovative approaches to the provision of goods and services utilizing digital and information technologies. Foreign experts shared their experiences and knowledge regarding the opportunities presented by modern e-commerce for the growth of companies of all sizes, particularly small businesses, including their access to international online markets.

With the advancement of the digital economy in Turkmenistan, there is a growing number of various platforms providing trade and other electronic services. Hundreds of online stores and marketplaces offer a wide range of goods and services to the population. The number of consumers turning to these platforms for online purchases is increasing. Popular online trading platforms include Ynamdar, which offers a broad assortment of consumer goods, and Asmanexpress – the first technological online platform in Turkmenistan providing rapid delivery services. Online stores offer a wide selection of household appliances, the sale of household chemicals with home delivery, stationery and school supplies, accessories, books, arts and crafts items, souvenirs, and gifts.

Digital services provided by the Postal Service of Turkmenistan and banks play a significant role in the promotion of e-commerce. For example, the "e-commerce" platform of the Joint-Stock Commercial Bank of Turkmenistan "Halkbank" can be utilized by both state and private enterprises to offer a wide range of services and goods to the public. Using the "Altyn Asyr" bank card, customers can pay for internet, home telephone, and IP television services at any time on the website of the Ashgabat City Telephone Network. The website of the State Insurance Organization of Turkmenistan provides the opportunity to order various types of voluntary and compulsory insurance for individuals and legal entities and to pay for the order online. At the "Ak Yol Computers" online store, one can order digital electronics, household appliances, computer equipment and components, and pay for the order via the internet. On the website of the "Bagtyyar" Hotel in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, it is possible to select and pre-book a room and pay for it online. JSCB "Halkbank" of Turkmenistan also offers internet acquiring services to entrepreneurs.
