Oriented on making people closer

On May 12, Arkadag hosted a grand celebration of the Arkadag football team to celebrate its historic victory in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge League. The team won this prestigious title in Cambodia in the 2024-2025 season.

The celebrations, filled with an atmosphere of joy and pride, began at the majestic Akhan Monument. From there, the winning team's festive procession started. The football players walked along Akhan, Aba Annayev and Kyarizek Avenues, heading to a modern multifunctional stadium with a capacity of 10,000 seats. The heroes' entire journey was accompanied by inspiring songs and music, as well as demonstration performances by athletes. Residents of the city of Arkadag, employees of institutions and enterprises, and student youth greeted their champions, demonstrating nationwide support and jubilation.

The main ceremony of honor took place at the stadium. Director General of the Arkadag Football Club Arslanmurad Amanov made a speech in which he expressed his deepest gratitude to the country's leadership for the comprehensive care and conditions created for the development of sports. On this significant day, he addressed the city mayor with a special request: considering that the team won the Cup and cash prizes, the athletes, coaches, and specialists of the club ask to transfer these prize funds to the account of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care. This noble gesture became another evidence of the high moral principles of Turkmen athletes.

During the ceremony, the AFC Challenge League Cup, a symbol of the victory of its football players in the prestigious international tournament, was solemnly handed over to the city of Arkadag.

The official part continued with the presentation of awards. Chairman of the Mejlis, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, read out the Order signed by the President of Turkmenistan. In accordance with the document, the coaches and athletes of the Arkadag football team were solemnly awarded cash prizes for their outstanding achievements. In response, the club's management and players expressed their sincere gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen People and the President for the invaluable support and excellent conditions created for training and participation in international competitions.

The celebration in honor of the victory of the Arkadag team ended with a vibrant cultural program. Inspiring song and music performances and fiery dances took place, which became the final chord of the celebration. The culmination of the evening was the colorful fireworks display that lit up the sky over the city of Arkadag, symbolizing the scale and joy of the victory of the Turkmen football players.
