 The Main Results of the Nine Months of Turkmenistan's Socio-Cultural Sector have been Presented.

Ashgabat, October 3 | ORIENT. At a Cabinet of Ministers meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Bayramgul Orazdurdyeva and Deputy Prime Minister Bahar Seyidova reported to the President of Turkmenistan on the results of the social and cultural sector's work for January–September of this year.

Education and Science

During the reporting period, reforms in the education system continued: modern teaching methods were introduced, and new textbooks were published.

First-grade students were presented with Bilimli laptops on behalf of the Chairman of the People's Council and the President. National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attended the opening of the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and new schools and kindergartens were commissioned.

Turkmen students have achieved high results at international Olympiads, winning a total of more than 750 medals, including 198 gold.

Healthcare

Modern practical medical methods were introduced into preventive and treatment activities. Thematic events were held to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Saglyk (Health) State Program. The Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation provided assistance to children in need of treatment and surgery.

Physical Education and Sports

During the reporting period, mass sports and the training of high-level athletes actively developed. Turkmenistan hosted international tournaments in the national wrestling "goresh" and "alysh" belt wrestling, as well as an international chess tournament for young athletes.

Culture

Numerous cultural events and creative competitions were organized in honor of the International Year of Peace and Trust, the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, and national holidays.

Celebrations marking the 34th anniversary of the country's independence were a highlight, including a parade in front of the State Tribune, festive concerts at the Congress Center, and on the square in front of the Älem Center.

Cultural and educational institutions and the media actively worked to promote the national heritage.

Summing up the discussion, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed that priority attention be given to the development of education, science, and healthcare, the improvement of sports, and the preservation and promotion of the national cultural heritage for future generations.
