 Turkmen gymnasts will go to the international tournament in Tashkent

Turkmen gymnasts are preparing to participate in an international tournament in Uzbekistan. They will compete with the best athletes from different countries at the EAST CUP & OLYMPIC STARS, which will be held from August 26 to 28 in Tashkent.

The Turkmenistan team consists of 20 girls of different ages, born in the period from 2008 to 2016, who represent Ashgabat, Mary and the Balkan regions.

Young gymnasts will show their new and challenging programs that they have worked out after a successful performance at the tournament in Georgia, where they won 6 awards (1 gold, 4 silver, 1 bronze).

Fiza Ayvazova, the head coach of Turkmenistan's national rhythmic gymnastics team, told ORIENT that they intend to demonstrate new achievements and continue their impressive performance.

The Turkmen team was formed by: Iliana Tokareva, Narmina Abasova, Sofia Bens, Hatyja Akmuradova, Mahym Gurbanova, Amelia Bens, Leyli Batyrova, Fatima Kambarova, Aylin Gunaslan, Sara Kulberdiyeva, Aysen Abdullayeva, Mahri Pomanova, Veronika Kurdunova, Leyli Imankuliyeva, Mahri Orazova, Inara Hanova, Firdevs Gunaslan, Gulshat Berkeliyeva, Mahri Berdiyeva, Karolina Kim.

Note that among them there are girls who are about to turn seven years old. The head coach of the national rhythmic gymnastics team of Turkmenistan explained that she decided to include them in the national team in order to give the opportunity to gain experience and motivation for further development.

Fiza Ayvazova also noted that all the girls have great potential and talent. She added that rhythmic gymnastics is not only a sport, but also an art, and that she wants her wards to express their emotions and character through their performances.

Also, a series of master classes from famous gymnasts from Russia is provided for the participants of the tournament in order to improve their skills.

EAST CUP & OLYMPIC STARS will bring together over three hundred gymnasts from Turkmenistan, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, UAE, Russia, Singapore, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
