The Russian Taekwondo Federation ITF has become a member of the Asian Taekwondo Federation ITF, which will allow athletes from Russia to compete at continental tournaments in Asia. This is reported by the press service of the Russian Federation in its social networks.

The decision on Russia's entry into the Asian Taekwondo Federation ITF was made at the congress of the International Taekwondo Federation ITF. The congress was attended by representatives of 145 countries that approved Russia's application. Thus, Russia became the 34th country in the Asian Taekwondo Federation ITF.

Russia's entry into the Asian Taekwondo Federation ITF will allow Russian athletes to participate in Asian championships and cups, as well as exchange experience and knowledge with colleagues from other countries.

The first Asian championship, where Russian athletes will perform, will be held in August 2024 in India.
