Turkmen tennis player entered the top four at the Asian Championship
09.09.2023 | 12:54 |Turkmen tennis player Ilima Huseynova stopped one step away from the top three at the Asian Junior Tennis Championship (U-14), which was held in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. 24 strongest tennis players from different countries of Asia and Oceania gathered at this prestigious tournament.
Huseynova achieved great success, reaching the semifinals of the competition. She beat such rivals as Suryanshi Shekhawat and Emily Kim from India, Diu Ramesh from Uzbekistan. In the semifinals, she lost to Darita Hong Sok from Thailand, and in the match for third place - Aarav Chawla from India.
Ilima Huseynova is one of the leaders of the tennis movement in Turkmenistan. She is engaged in tennis at the Ashgabat Academy under the guidance of Mirali Hasanov. At the moment, she is ranked 13th in the Asian ITF Juniors ranking among juniors under 14 years old.
