Oriented on making people closer

Recently, information about the screening of the film "Magtymguly Fragi" at the Türkevi Turkish House, a 36-story skyscraper located in Manhattan, appeared on several websites that publish event listings in New York. The announcements invited all art and film enthusiasts to a cultural evening on January 21, where the film "Magtymguly Fragi", which received the main prize at the “Gorkut Ata” International Turkic Film Festival and is a joint production of filmmakers from Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, would be presented.

As noted on one of the websites, "this landmark production is a testament to the richness of Turkic cinema and a symbol of cultural cooperation within the Turkic world". It was reported that the screening was organized in cooperation with TURKSOY, the Turkish Consulate General in New York, and the permanent missions of TURKSOY member states to the United Nations. The evening's program also included the opening of a photo exhibition dedicated to the cultural capitals of the Turkic world, a special photo exhibition about the film "Magtymguly Fragi", and a reception giving guests the opportunity to communicate with its creators.

Turkmenistan was represented at the event by the Chairman of the Oguz Khan Turkmenfilm Association, Muhammetnazar Saparmuradov, the lead actor, Ahmet Amandurdyev, an actor of the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater of Turkmenistan, as well as a representative of the International Relations Department of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography.

In a statement made before the start of the events in the United States, TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Rayev noted that TURKSOY's international cooperation is developing every day and emphasized the importance of presenting inspiring leaders of the Turkic world, such as Magtymguly Fragi, to the world through the prism of these events. According to him, the film about Magtymguly embodies the artistic power of the Turkic world and its ability to work together. Speaking about the fact that this film was prepared as a gift to the people of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi on behalf of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the head of TURKSOY emphasized: "With this special screening, we want to pay tribute to our hardworking filmmakers. We invite all friends of the Turkic world in New York to our screening".

Noting that these events provide a unique opportunity to tell a wide international audience about the cultural richness and unity of the Turkic world, Sultan Rayev said: "We are pleased to present on these platforms the unique richness of Turkic culture, the depth of our common history and our hero-leaders who will inspire the modern world".
