ICQ and other social networks and messengers popular in the country have many channels and groups dedicated to anime, which are led by young fans from Turkmenistan. Sometimes anime is broadcast by Turkmen television. Thus, with the assistance of the Embassy of Japan in Turkmenistan, the Yashlyk TV channel, designed for a young audience, showed multi-part anime "Haikyu!!" ("Volleyball").

In the country's cinemas, full-length anime films are periodically shown, which gather representatives of thesubculture. Manga — Japanese comics, which are used to make anime, are increasingly appearing in bookstores.

Anime fans can also be found on the streets of Turkmen cities — their love for this direction is often reflected in their clothes, which can depict famous characters with peculiardrawing.

But what is anime? Contrary to all opinions, anime is not only Japanese cartoons. Anime is any Japanese—style animation. It is produced in China, Korea, and other countries. We have identified several main reasons for the popularity of anime.

After seeing a character in an anime, you can immediately determine his importance to the story and understand whether he is kind or evil. When creating heroes, great attention is paid to the eyes, while the nose and mouth can be depicted simply with wavy lines. Positive characters usually have large, detailed drawn eyes, while villains, on the contrary, have small or half—closed ones.

There is also a lot of meaning in the character's hair color. For example, heroes with ginger or red hair are usually hot-tempered and aggressive, with bluish—white or just white hair - hidden, cold towards others. Characters with green hair are usually kind and naive. Nature and cities in anime fascinate with their unique appearance and colorfulness, much attention is paid to details.

A large number of genres and a variety of stories

Like other types of art, anime is divided into different genres, thanks to which you can find Japanese animation for every taste. Among the most viewed are "fantasy", "cyberpunk", "isekai" (moving between worlds), "psychological thriller", "action movie". The genres "shonen" and "shojo" are popular, and we will tell you aboutthem in more detail.

"Shonen" is a genre target audience of which is boys and adolescents aged 12 to 18 years. This genre is characterized by a rapid development of the plot, where the main character is kind and purposeful.

Also in this genre, the theme of male friendship, camaraderie and rivalry between two friends is revealed and there are comedy scenes. The most popular shonen anime are such cult works as "Naruto", "Bleach", "One Piece", "Black Clover", "Hunter × Hunter", etc.

"Shojo" is a genre that is designed for girls aged 12 to 18 years. Usually the plot tells about the a schoolgirl-heroine, who is presented as kind and beautiful.

True friendship, struggle with one's own complexes, growing up, experiences, first love — all these topics are touched upon in this genre, which attracts teenage girls, and in some cases even suggests how to act in certain situations. Popular anime in this genre are "Fruit Basket", "ClassPresident is a maid", etc.

Wide age coverage

Most of the anime is designed not only for children, but also for adult audience, due to which it is very popular. The anime discusses current social issues and ways to solve them.

There are many examples of instructive anime. They help boys and girls get rid of complexes, give advice on how to act under certain circumstances and motivate. It is very easy for teenagers watching anime to find a common language — even the most unsociable can make a lot of friends thanks to similar interests.
